Richard B. Cheney, a distinguished businessman and public servant is vice president. Cheney has been a prominent person in Washington over the years. George W. Bush was the fourth president Cheney, who he served. Bush picked Cheney to be his vice-presidential running mate in July 2000, citing Cheney's expertise and wisdom. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for the president, was an elected congressman Congress and served as secretary of defence. He's a man of integrity whom is admired by Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney claims he's an honest and discreet advisor to Bush within his administration. Cheney, who accepted the Republican Vice-Presidential nominating in 2007 stated that the he would be looking forward to being under a President who can work across political lines and cooperate with political adversaries through goodwill and a shared purpose. Richard Bruce Cheney is the father of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941 within Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, Bruce accompanied his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in the state of Wyoming) which is where his father was Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
